Kazi Rahman was jailed for 9 years and will be released this year. Babar although guilty and liable for a life sentence went to prison for only 4 years being released in 2011 (as part of a plea bargain).
Extreme Vetting the imperative and the difficulty

The following are excerpts from an article by Middle East Forum President Daniel Pipes, “Smoking Out Islamists via Extreme Vetting” who has written extensively on the practicality and enforceability of screening for Islamists, is an advance release from the forthcoming Spring 2017 issue of Middle East Quarterly.
85-90% of the worlds 1.5 billion Muslims are law abiding people no different to you or me.
However approximately 10-15 percent of Muslims seek to apply Islamic law (the Shari’a) in its entirety.
They want to implement a medieval code that encourages Muslims to engage in acts of bigotry or hatred (including “honor” killings, other forms of violence against women, or the persecution of those who practice religions different from their own) oppress Americans of any race, gender, or sexual orientation, subjugating non-Muslims, violent jihad, and establishing a caliphate to rule the world.
On 27 January 2017 President Trump issued an executive order establishing radically new procedures to deal with foreigners who apply to enter the United States. the order explains that
“to protect Americans, the United States must ensure that those admitted to this country do not bear hostile attitudes toward it and its founding principles. The United States cannot, and should not, admit those who do not support the Constitution, or those who would place violent ideologies over American law “:
But how does one distinguish foreigners who “do not bear hostile attitudes toward it and its founding principles” from those who do? How do government officials figure out “those who would place violent ideologies over American law”? More specifically, given that the new procedures almost exclusively concern the fear of allowing more Islamists into the country, how does one identify them?
The Exec Order calls for “Uniform Screening Standards” with the goal of preventing individuals from entering the United States “on a fraudulent basis [Islamists often dissimulate and pretend to be moderates] with the intent to cause harm, or who are at risk of causing harm subsequent to their admission.” The order requires that the uniform screening standard and procedure include such elements as (bolding is by Daniel Pipes):
In-person interviews;
A database of identity documents proffered by applicants to ensure that duplicate documents are not used by multiple applicants;
Amended application forms that include questions aimed at identifying fraudulent answers and malicious intent;
A mechanism to ensure that the applicant is who the applicant claims to be;
A process to evaluate the applicant’s likelihood of becoming a positively contributing member of society and the applicant’s ability to make contributions to the national interest; and
A mechanism to assess whether or not the applicant has the intent to commit criminal or terrorist acts after entering the United States.
Protecting the Nation from Foreign Terrorist Entry into the United States
Background checks should involve finding out about his family, friends, associations, employment, memberships, and activities. Agents must probe these for questionable statements, relationships, and actions, as well as anomalies and gaps. When they find something dubious, they must look further into it, always with an eye for trouble. Does the person in question have an outlook consistent with that of the Constitution? Not long ago, only public figures such as intellectuals, activists, and religious figures put their views on the record; but now, thanks to the Internet and its open invitation to everyone to comment in writing or on video in a permanent, public manner, and especially to social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.), most everyone with strong views at some point vents them. Such data provides valuably unfiltered views on many critical topics, such as Islam, non-Muslims, women, and violence as a tactic. (Exploiting this resource may seem self-evident but U.S. immigration authorities do not do so, thereby imposing a self-restraint roughly equivalent to the Belgian police choosing not to conduct raids between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.).
Interviews ought be under oath, public and (with consent, Recorded. With the explicit permission of the person being questioned (“You understand and accept that this interview is being recorded, right?”), the exchange should be visibly videotaped so the proceedings are unambiguously on the record. This makes available the interviewee’s words, tone, speech patterns, facial expressions, and body language for further study. Form as well as substance matters: does the interviewee smile, fidget, blink, make eye contact, repeat, sweat, tremble, tire, need frequent toilet breaks, or otherwise express himself in non-verbal ways?
No single question can evince a reply that establishes an Islamist disposition; effective interviewing requires a battery of queries on many topics, from homosexuality to the caliphate. The answers need to be assessed in their totality. Vague inquiries along the lines of “Is Islam a religion of peace?”, “Do you condemn terrorism?” “How do you respond to the murder of innocents,” depend too much on one’s definition of words such as peace, terrorism, and innocents to help determine a person’s outlook, and so should be avoided. Instead, questions must be focused and exact: “May Muslims convert out of Islam, whether to join another faith or to become atheists?” “Does a Muslim have the right to renounce Islam?”
For the questions to ferret out the truth means looking for divergence and inconsistency by asking the same question with different words and variant emphases. A sampling: “May a woman show her face in public?” “What punishment do you favor for females who reveal their faces to men not related to them by family?” “Is it the responsibility of the male guardian to make sure his women-folk do not leave the house with faces uncovered?” “Should the government insist on women covering their faces?” “Is society better ordered when women cover their faces?” Any one of the questions can be asked in different ways and expanded with follows-up about the respondent’s line of reasoning or depth of feeling.
A list of questions (are set out in full in the original article by Daniel Pipes) offered as suggestions to build on, are those of this author but also derive from a number of analysts devoting years of thinking to the topic. Naser Khader, the-then Danish parliamentarian of Syrian Muslim origins, offered an early set of questions in 2002. A year later, this author published a list covering seven subject areas.

OBL’s brother in law, Sulaiman Abu Ghayth, an Imam an ostensibly ‘religious’ man who sees himself as a ‘good Muslim’ but advocating terror. He was sentenced to life this week by a US court for terrorism. preacher Anjem Choudary was arrested this week in the UK on terrorism charges. Choudary presents himself as a religious man/sheik and a ‘good Muslim’.
Choudary and his constantly changing group al Muhajiroun/Islam4UK/’Muslims Against Crusades’ foments discord based on Salafi Takfiri religious dogma.Choudary said even if they arrest him (which the UK authorities did today September 2014), “I will carry on in prison. I’ll radicalise everyone in prison.’
It is often said that Terrorism has nothing to do with religion. That is patently not true at least to the extent that a cult can be termed a religion. Certainly without fail, all terrorists in the bulk of terrorist attacks these past 15 years acknowledge a religious motivation for their acts whether it’s blowing up their underwear or shoes in planes over the US or hacking to death infidels on the streets of our homelands. To deny any link between the world wide epidemics of Islamist violence since 2001 is akin to denying that the Nazi ideology played a key part in the horrors of WWII and the Holocaust. The media in the West try and explain the madness by saying young people from the Muslim community are merely seeking a thrill and a sense of identity when committing atrocities or terrorist acts. Chechen terrorist and Boston Bomber, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev even featured as a rebel on the cover of Rolling Stone. Perhaps Goebbels was misunderstood and needs a Rolling Stone makeover?
What the authorities mean to say (laudably) is that Terrorism does not equate with Islam for fear of tarring the whole Islamic community with the same brush. Here is a selected list of orthodox Sunni scholars who have refuted Wahhabism and warned Muslims of its poisonous ideology. I can only hope that young Muslim men heed his advice and do not drink from the poison Wahhabi well.
Not all Muslims are terrorists but some of them clearly are. What’s more worryingly is that many millions (not just hundreds) are potentially terrorists with very little radicalizing and indeed some have become terrorists very soon after ‘conversion’ to ‘Islam’

Look to any Islamist street demonstration or riots against the West over the past 14 years (see picture as example of protests over the Danish cartoon incident) and you see similar hatred of the West based on the fingers pointed to Allah and the slight against their religion as a justification for their outrage.
A convert after saying that there is only one God, Allah and that Mohammed is his prophet must then try and be a good Muslim. However how Muslim ought to live his life (especially in the West) is where the problem of identity, self-esteem and civic responsibility to adhere to the laws of the land arise. That’s where the extremist Salafi cult comes in and creates a tear in the social fabric and poisons the mind of some Muslims and where counter terrorism and anti-radicalization measures must interdict future terrorism mindsets.
What did it mean to be a good German in the 1930’s? The Nazi’s through hate preachers like Goebbels gave the answer which was a slavish adherence to Nazi dogma just as the Salafi’s today give the answer as to what it is to be a good Muslim and that is a strict adherence to the Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri doctrine.
The extremists Muslims (those that want to follow a literal and strict adherence to the warrior ways of the first Muslim caliphs) give the young Muslim men the ideological blueprint on how to be a good Muslim. These extreme fundamentalists are called Salafis/Whabbi’s (or in Indian sub-continent Deobandi/Taliban). Whilst there is a quietest branch of these religious Islamic fundamentalists, at the extreme end of the spectrum are the ‘Takfiri’ (those who see any deviation from their ideology as apostasy and all who practice falsity deserve death. Therefore the Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri Jihadi glories in terrorism (especially if by Allah’s providence they can be also martyred at the same time) and the barbaric acts we have all witnessed in the deserts of Syria and Iraq and on the streets of New York, Boston, Toulouse and Woolwich, Train stations in London and Madrid, bars in Bali, the primary schools of Beslan or the concert halls of Moscow.
ISIS like the Woolwich slayer, Michael Adebolajo is just following the Salafi Takfiri script as written by its ideologues like The Blind Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman, Anwar al-Awlaki, Omar Bakri Mohammed, Abu Hamza (al-Masri) , Anjem Choudary, Trewvor Brooks (Abu Izzadeen), Mizanur Rahman, Mohammed Achamlane, Mohammad Ali Baryalei, and Abu Musab Al Suri, al-Bagdadi etc .
It is good and admirable that leaders make a distinction between mainstream Islam and the Islamists but it is wrong to say terrorism of the Jihadist kind has “nothing to do with religion” or religious ideology. The population will switch off this narrative as it’s obvious that Jihadist terrorism is inspired by something in Islam. What the people do not understand however is that it’s an extreme sect within Islam. When the next horrific Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri terrorist attack happens, like the planned random beheading of person on the Streets of Australia, there will be a backlash against the Muslim community as a whole, especially those that are ostensibly fundamentalist (such as men with beards and long white robes and women in black burqas).Also there will be little hope in tacking the extremist pro-terrorism ideology of the Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri’s if security agencies monitor potential terrorists too broadly which will only tend to alienate the Muslim community who will feel under siege.
World leaders have finally come to the conclusion that civilization must not only attack ISIS on the ground but also its ideology. President Obama, Australian PM Abbott and UK PM Cameron have come to call ISIS a ‘death cult’. This too whilst an accurate descriptor is not helpful in the degradation of their ideology and ability to radicalize homegrown terrorists or fighters for their land wars in the Middle East. Now how does one attack a ghost death cult that has nothing to do with Islam? It is not possible. There is no ‘Death Cult’ website, bookshop or headquarters. The leader of ISIS al-Bagdadi, has a PHD in Islamic studies and would but for his barbaric methods in Syria and Iraq be considered as an ‘Islamic Scholar’. So it’s not about Islamists having a shallow understanding of Islam. It’s about a sect within Islam itself.
Al Qaeda too, once a formal and structured terrorist group has become after years of degradation, more of an ideal and an enabler than a formal group. Again you won’t find an Al Qaeda bookshop or HQ. However you find the same ideology behind their motivation and justification for terrorism against the West.
The ideology of all the terrorist organizations or lone wolves that have or want to commit terrorist acts against the West whatever they call themselves is a cult of Islam that can be correctly and accurately described and called the Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri Jihadi. That is the one ideology that is behind all the fronts and brand names like: Al Qaeda, Boko Haram, al-Shabaab and ISIS ‘al Muhajiroun’, ‘Islam4UK’, ‘Sharia4Belguim’, Forsane Alizza, ’Force de Défense Musulmane sur Internet’, ‘Sharia4France’, Al-Haramain , Benevolence International Foundation, Wafa al Igatha al Islamia , Hizb ut-Tahrir, al-Gheraba, Muslims Against Crusades, et al.
Underscoring this point is the life sentence for terrorism this week handed down by a New York court of Osama bin Laden’s son in law, Sulaiman Abu Ghayth (pictured far left next to OBL).
Abu Ghayth was jailed for life this week (September 2014) for conspiring on a planned second wave of 9/11 attacks. What was his previous occupation and driving motivation when planning more 9/11 attacks on the West? He was a religious instruction teacher at school and an imam at a Kuwaiti Mosque. He was a ’religious’ man but of a fanatical Salafi sect of Islam, the Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri sect. In court Abu Ghayth denied he was an al-Qaida recruiter and claimed his ‘role was a religious one aimed at encouraging all Muslims to rise up against their oppressors’.
Speaking in Arabic through a translator, Abu Ghayth also told the New York court, “today when you are shackling my hands, and intend to bury me alive, you are unleashing the hands of thousands of Muslims and they will join the rally of free men.” In his March 2014 trial prosecutors showed jurors a 50-second clip of a five-minute videotape of Abu Ghaith from October 9, 2001, in which he threatens that “America must know that the storm of airplanes will not abate, with God’s permission.” Alluding to martyrdom, he said there were “youths who are yearning to death just as Americans yearn to live….“We strongly advise Muslims in America and the Britain, the children and those who reject unjust American policies, not to board aircraft and we advise them not to live in high-rises and tall buildings.”
When you see pictures of ISIS fighters what are they gesturing with their hands? They are pointing with a finger toward heaven/Allah, in whose name they slaughter the innocents. In fact they are brainwashing their children from a very young age to equate submission to God with terrorism as the picture of ISIS children shows.
What is on their black flag but religious symbolism that all Muslims would easily recognize? What is the essential message of ISIS and all such Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri groups and individual fanatics? That Islam is ISIS, God inspired, God sanctioned and God predestined to rule over all with their version of Sharia law.
What did Mohamed Merah say just before he gunned down little Jewish children in Toulouse France: “This will bring France to its knees before Allah.”
What do they do before they blow themselves up, execute someone or fire a weapon but a religious salutation Allahu Akbar(Arabic: الله أكبر meaning “God is greater” and in context of the salutation before committing violence…’ (their ideology, their God, their faith’ is greater than the infidel non-believer/apostates or their errant religion or man-made democracies).
The Islamists whether they are ISIS fighters or lone wolf be-headers on the Streets of our homelands are brainwashed by the Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri Jihadi cult to believe their barbarous acts are sanctioned by the Quran and the example of their Prophet, Mohammed in the way in which he went about securing temporal power in the Middle East and North Africa in the seventh century creating the First Islamic Caliphate. To deal with the terrorist threat humanity has to deal with their ideology. The people best placed to do that are the vast majority of Muslims. To engage with that community, we should not speak for them when terrorism happens. We should give the Muslim majority a voice.
George Bush or President Obama saying Islam is a religion of peace is not the best way to go about the PR war on ISIS Al Qaeda or other Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri terrorists. They must call the terrorists by name of their ideology. Islamism is not accurate appropriate or helpful. It is the Wests lazy shorthand. When Western leaders refer to them they should use their correct descriptor Wahhabi Salafi Takfir Jihadi or WSTJ…that will cover the fighters and supports of ISIS, Al Qaeda ,Boko Haram, etc. and also the hate preachers, supporters and potential fifth column terrorists in our homelands. Our leaders and media should also let the voice of moderate (and majority) Islam be heard immediately after the terrorist attacks occur as we need to empower the Muslim community to inoculate their people from the WSTJ Ebola type contagion and be seen to condemn these attacks and also be seen by the non-Muslim fellow citizens as not condoning terrorism against their fellow citizens by apparent silence.
Until the Western leaders and media appreciate that one cannot understand (let alone defeat) ISIS or Al Qaeda without defeating their ideology, there is little hope. Their implacable hatred of the West is based on their genuinely and fanatically held religious views. There will be no end to terrorism of the Jihadist/Islamist kind, in fact it will only get worse,(especially in our homelands) even if ISIS is bombed back to the stone age unless the West recognizes the terrorist problem as associated with the extreme Salafi sect of Islam and their ambition to hijack that religion for the imposition of Sharia and world domination by WSTJ Muslims as the vanguard of an Islamic ‘Third Reich’ type Caliphate.
Wahhbai Salafi preachers like The Blind Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman have been at the forefront of radicalization and terrorist plots in the Middle East and the West for decades.
So called Honour-based violence – a type of violence in which families, sometimes with the help of the broader community, punish a victim (usually female) for a perceived social or sexual indiscretion, has long been a plague. This is certainly true in Pakistan – most especially in more insular communities where a more regressive (Wahhabi Salafi-Deobandi) interpretation of Islam is enforced. See Article
Choudary, Izzaden and other Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri’s praised the September 11 terror atrocity and the July 7 London bombings which killed 52 innocent people in 2005. Choudary has preached that jihad, or holy war, is an ‘obligation upon Muslims’ – an interpretation rejected by moderate Muslim scholars – and has called for a draconian form of Sharia law to be imposed across Britain.

The arrests of Choudary and his ilk are long overdue and should be repeated around the world against all radicalizers and advocates and supporters of terrorist ideology irrespective of their protests that they are ‘religious men’. What is needed now is a microphone and camera in front of Muslim leaders welcoming the arrests of these evil men who threaten their communities as well as the countries within which they live. The Islamic leaders will speak the truth and say these men are from a minority sect Islam which they and most Muslims find abhorrent and against their principles and beliefs as ‘good Muslims’. Unless this happens neither we nor the Muslim youth can recognize what being a good Muslim is or is not and our security in the West will remain precarious. Counter radicalization in civil society is therefore more important than Counter Terrorism laws in defeating ISIS and Al Qaeda. Choudray’s 2IC, Abu Izzadeen told then UK home secretary John Reid he was an ‘enemy of Islam’ after the minister asked Muslims to step in if they thought children were being radicalised.
This is where the real war on terrorism needs to focus. Had the UK and other Western nations acted earlier to clean out the vipers den of al Muhajiroun’, ‘Islam4UK’ etc, ISIS may never have had the support of foreign fighters recruited from the West. Ideology is important. Politicians and the media must act responsibly and honestly in reporting the religious sect ideology behind terrorism so that it can be interdicted and the fabric of our multi-cultural societies not be rent by a backlash of the community who no longer listen to their leaders rhetoric.

Enormous hoardings setting out the fanatics’ oppressive dress code have been put up in a city in Libya held by the militants.
The posters set out seven rules for women, which include making sure that all body parts are covered and a ban on see-through and tight-fitting clothes.
Brand names are also forbidden, as are ‘masculine garments’ and designs that will attract male attention.
Finally, the Jihadists state that all “perfumed” clothes are heretical and should not be worn.

In the years after the 9/11 attacks, the teachings of 14th century Islamic jurist Ibn Taymiyyah have been propagated by jihadi groups in order to advance their cause. Free Speech abused by hate preachers to incite terrorism

Notorious hate preacher Sheikh Suleiman Anwar Bengharsa (aka Imam Bengharsa) has a master’s degree in theology, a degree in economics and had once worked for the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Bengharsa was Imama for the Islamic Society of Annapolis (May 2009-April 2010) and then the Tazkia Center and Masjid Umar (January 2011-October 2014). He accepted invitations to deliverJumu’a Khutbas (sermons) and lectures at fourteen Islamic organizations in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Washington D.C. and Toronto, Canada.
He was was a chaplain in the Maryland prison system.
His most recent ‘post’ was as imam at the Masjid Umar mosque in Woodlawn and founder and director of the Islamic Jurisprudence Center, an independent legal resource center in Clarksburg near Baltimore that promotes understanding of Shariah law. The center’s mission was “to promote and advance the understanding of and compliance with Islamic law (Sharia) in all aspects of life.
The Islamic Jurisprudence Center (Maryland) is so extreme it considers designated terror org the Council on American Islamic Relations apostates.
Imam Bengharsa of Clarksburg, Maryland, poses in a striking way the dilemma for the F.B.I. in deciding when constitutionally protected speech crosses into inciting violence or conspiring to commit a terrorist act (in Virginia against more moderate Muslims).
In June 2015, Imam Bengharsa, supplied $1,300 to a Detroit a Muslim convert Sebastian Gregerson (aka Abdurrahman Bin Mikaayl) who used it to expand his arsenal of AK-47s, seven rifles, tactical knives (similar to those used in videos of Islamic State extremists beheading western hostages, according to the FBI), a shotgun, thousands of rounds of ammunition and fragmentation grenades. The arsenal was hidden in an underground ammunition storage container.
Next to the notation for the $1,300 check, Imam Bengharsa wrote “zakat,” an obligaory act of Islamic charity. Gregerson is on trial for weapons charges and may also be yet indicted on terror charges, given his ideology and planning to use the weapons aqllegedly against moderate Muslim leaders who opposed Wahhabist extremism. “Gregerson told the (undercover FBI agent) that he watched al-Baghdadi’s speech some five times that day and celebrated the event with associates,” “Gregerson stated: ‘We could not stop smiling.’ During the investigation, the FBI said Gregerson also praised Islamic State-inspired extremists, including Omar Mateen, the American-born man who killed 49 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando in June.
Gregerson, a Target employee who converted to Islam after high school, called Mateen his “brother” and offered constructive criticism about how the Orlando shooter could have boosted the body count, according to court records. .
During the raid of Gregerson’s home on July 31, agents also found several CDs marked “Anwar al-Awlaki,” the al-Qaida recruiter who met with Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab before the failed Christmas Day 2009 terror attack on a Detroit-bound plane… after extremists killed 130 people in a series of suicide bombings and shootings in Paris, Gregerson supported the attacks on Facebook.”

“Witnesses said the truck picked up speed and “rammed” the crowd where it was thickest at more than 40mph whilst the driver fired a gun out of the window. Images then emerged of the cab riddled with bullets. One eyewitness said he saw the driver emerge with a gun after the truck came to a halt and begin shooting at the fleeing crowd.
Police have identified the driver, who was killed during the incident, and it is believed to have been of Tunisian origin and a man who was known to security services. Separate reports emerged tonight that police fear four different trucks are involved, raising fears of a massive organised terror attack.
At least 78 people are dead according to newspaper Le Figaro, with a further 16 fighting for their lives in a critical condition in hospital and 31 more in a serious condition. More than a hundred people are believed to have been injured.

On Monday 13 October 2014, in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu Canada, a new but zealous convert to Wahhabi Salafi Islam , Canadian Martin Couture-Rouleau murdered Canadian soldier Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent by running him and another soldier down in a car pointing his finger to heaven seeking Allah (in the Salafist self righteous style) as his justification for doing so. Our enemy is a fifth column of Wahhabi Salafi hate preachers and their appeasers who allow the Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri Jihadi ideology to proliferate and radicalize Muslim youth to commit atrocities here and abroad as foreign fighters. Radicalization on US Soil

From 9/11 to Kentucky, San Bernardino, Paris, Brussels, all these terrorist attacks didn’t happen in a vacuum. Terror attacks since 9/11 of the Islamist kind are almost always sanctioned or inspired by a Wahhabi Salafi hate preacher in a mosque, prayer hall or on-line.
Although Pakistani cleric Roshan Zamir Abbassi and Nizaam Ali were apparently in regular communication with the 3 San Bernardino Salafist terrorists including Farook whose parents are Pakistani, during June 2015 Chattanooga terrorist attack by fellow Salafi Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez, these Salafist preachers deny any culpability to either terror attacks on American soil. Abassi simply says he taught ‘Arabic’ at the mosque. He was most proud of students (like Farook) who could memorize the Qur’an in Arabic). As for intimacy with the killer Abassi says “I never knew him” . See Article The FBI say that Abbassi and Farook exchanged 36 texts. It has been reported that Abbassi is part of a larger group of radicals called the

The Dar-al-Uloom al-Islamiya of America mosque in San Bernardino is known to be a radical Salafi indoctrination venue although there is yet no direct evidence of radicalization of the San Bernardino shooter from this mosque. Nevertheless it was the place where the San Bernardino co-murderer Syed Farook sought spiritual guidance as well as the Islamic Center of Riverside before he and his wife made hundreds of pipe bombs and amassed a massive arsenal of weapons and carried out their massacre at a social services centre in December 2015 killing 14 and injuring 21.
Known Muslim Brotherhood laced Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has hired sophisticated media spokesmen to speak for this Wahhabi mosque. Since December 2015, Journalists posed the question over half a dozen times, to three different spokesmen from the organisation. The reply that kept coming, in different forms, was “no comment”See Article.
The Wahhabi influence at Dar Al Uloom Al-Islamiyah can hardly be denied given Farook’s ability to learn Arabic and memorize the Koran then go to Saudi Arabia to hook up with and marry fanatic wife and soon to be co-murderer Tashfeen Malik. Malik is linked to a Canadian Islamic school the Al-Huda Institute(run by notorious Farhat Hashmi) that promotes Saudi Wahhabist ideology.
Nevertheless in typical denial and ‘PC’ mode, the Obama administration’s Attorney General Loretta Lynch echoed Obama’s remarks in Washington , cautioning the public that investigators did not know “if this was workplace rage or something larger or both.”See Article
Interestingly just like Farook took off to Saudi Arabia before starting his bomb making factory in his garage, so too Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez , the Kentucky jihadist also went overseas just prior to his terror attacks. He went t ‘visit’ Asaad Ibrahim Abdulazeez Haj Ali whose lawyer lawyer Abdel Qader al-Khatib,is a prominent lawyer for the Jordanian Muslim Brotherhood (Ikhwan). The FBI should look for possible spiritual sanctioners of the Kentucky terror attacks too. People to question would include Ihsan Bagby. Bagby is an associate professor of Islamic studies at the University of Kentucky. He is also head of the Kentucky chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-KY) and former board member of CAIR’s national Board for 20 years. CAIR is a front for the Muslim Brotherhood. Bagby is general secretary for the Muslim Alliance in North America (MANA) and on the Council of theIslamic Society of North America’s Fiqh Council (ISNA) based in Plainfield Indiana. Notably MANA’s leader is the Wahhabi maniac Sirhaj Wahhaj implicated with the murderous Blind Sheik and the 1993 WTC bombings. Also of interest would be Sheik Ossama Bahloul graduate of Al-Azhar University in Cairo. Al-Azhar is the center of Sunni Salafism, and a hotbed of Muslim Brotherhood ideology and organization.
The Wahhabi connection to the extreme puritanical sect of Islam in Pakistan and India is through the Deobandi sect and the Dar Al Uloom/ Jamia Uloom ul Islamia seminaries in particular. The seminaries propagates the Deobandi trend of Sunni Islam and were founded along the lines of Darul Uloom Deoband.

The Chancellor of Darul Uloom Haqqania in Akora Khattak, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan is Maulana Sami ul Haq of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam.
The Pakistani Deobandi seminary has been dubbedThe University of Jihad due to the methods and content of instruction along with the future occupations of its alumni.
These Deobandi seminaries spew forth thousands of Salafi fanatics who school and indoctrinate thousands of Muslim youth in Madrassah and prayer halls all around the world usually funded by Saudi Arabia the home of Wahhabi extremism. These Wahhabi-Deobandi institutions play a major role in helping establish and sustain a number of jihadi organisations, includingHarakat ul-Mujahidin (HUM), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and Sipah-e-Sahaba Pakistan(SSP).
These seminaries were originally founded to counter British cultural onslaught not in a dissimilar way as Boko Haram is now violently opposed to any form of Western Education.
To counter what was seen to be a British plan to enslave India culturally, they planned to establish a revolutionary institution that would impart knowledge as well as enthuse fervour among students to fight against oppressive forces. Darul Uloom Deoband, the most eminent Islamic learning centre thus was established on 21 May 1866. Maulana Muhammad Qasim Nanautavi(1832-1879), the founder of ‘Darul Uloom’ (house of knowledge) at Deoband, later on outlined the purpose of establishing the institution in the following words:
“The English have perpetrated boundless acts of tyranny against the Muslims for their fault, if at all it was a fault, of the uprising in 1857 and their relentless endeavour for the independence of this country thereafter. They have left no stone unturned to plunder and obliterate the Islamic arts and science, Muslim culture and civilization. Endowments of Muslim educational institutions have been confiscated and as a result state funded schools have been virtually closed. It is therefore, necessary to adopt other method instead of relying upon the old system of endowments.”
In 2015 the European Parliament refused to meet a delegation of Pakistani MP’s that included Al Haq. One wonders whether this snub may have enraged some fellow Wahhabi-Deobandi ‘travellers’ to commit terror attacks in Europe such as the recent Brussels bombings. ul-Haq is part of the hard-line Islamist alliance that forms a strong bloc in Pakistan’s lower house. Some have speculated the Deobandi hard-liners were involved in many acts of terror and assassination including that of Benazir Bhutto. Nevertheless Pakistan’s ambassador in Brussels, Saeed Khalid, expressed disappointment at the EU’s snub of their spiritual leader. Mr ul-Haq’s advice for the Pakistani and Afghan students was to wage holy war until the “evil force” is defeated according to BBC reports
Maulana Sami ul Haq is also chairman of the Pakistani Defence Council.
ul Haq heads his own political movement, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Sami (Assembly of Islamic Clergy, or JUI). More importantly however he is at the apex of the ideology of the elites that control Pakistan and also the insurgents in Afghanistan because he is also chair of Darul Uloom Haqqania, the pre-eminent Deobandi Islamic seminary for Pakistan and Afghanistan. This institution is the ‘font’ of current religious orthodoxy in Pakistan and Afghanistan of what it means to be a good Muslim. This same institution is the alma mater of several Taliban leaders such as Mullah Omar. As many of the top jobs in government, military and Intelligence are products of or strongly influenced by Darul Uloom Haqqania and the ideologies it promotes, it would be impossible to understand Pakistani domestic or foreign policy or even the machinations of Afghan politics and insurgency without an understanding what Darul Uloom Haqqania or JUI stands for.
Ul Haq said at the DPC Rally:
“All religious parties will guide the nation on national issues… US must refrain from attacking our sovereignty and recognize Pakistan as an atomic power just like India… (the current situation) was an Armageddon between good and evil.”
WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO PAKISTAN AND WHY IT MATTERS TO THE WEST?
So if FBI investigations did unearth a link between the Wahhabi Salafi mosques in California and the San Bernardino terror attacks it would be no surprise to many analysts who understand the Deobandi and Wahhabi connection to terror networks or devotees radicalized by them.
In the light of the recent horrific Easter Attacks by Deobandi fanatics in Pakistanand their Salafi ‘bros’ in Brussels, one can see that the preachers of hate have trained their devotees well.

A few months later Al Qaeda urged attacks on China and other Asian countries that oppressed Muslim minorities. In their first edition of the Al Qaeda mag “Resurgence So Fight in the way of Allah” there was an article about what Al Qaeda calls the Chinese oppression of Muslims in ‘East Turkistan’ ( Xinjiang province in China where the Uighurs come from). Further in the mag they say ” one article says that the “the victory of the Ummah” will be a “deathblow” and a “bitter defeat… for America, Iran, Russia, China and all those who have fought this war by proxy against Muslims.” See article

The ICM Imam, Sheik Ossama Bahloul is a distinguished graduate of Al-Azhar University in Cairo. He holds a MS degree with a thesis in Da’waah (proselytizing).

While substantial analysis has been previously published on Saudi Wahhabism in other countries due to the proliferation of Wahhabi Salafi terror attacks overseas, few specifics have been reported on the content of Wahhabi indoctrination within the United States and Canada. With a spate of lone wolf terror attacks in North America, it is time for scrutiny of all Wahhabi Salafi hate preachers and Saudi funded mosques, bookshops and associations in North America. Studies have shown they are full of radicalization material.

Wahhaj provided testimony during the trial to defend the Blind Sheikh, Omar Abdel-Rahman, the former leader of the Egyptian terrorist organization, Gama’a al-Islamiyya.

The Kentucky slaughter of unarmed Americans, being in the clear pattern of similar incidents around the globe, proves that our enemy in the West is not Islam, but a fifth column of Wahhabi Salafi hate preachers and their appeasers who allow the Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri Jihadi ideology to proliferate and radicalize Muslim youth to commit atrocities here and abroad as foreign fighters. The West cannot allow the extremists to hide behind the skirts of religion, so called charities and misguided notions of free speech to facilitate radicalization and lone wolf terrorism in our homelands.
The Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) describes itself as a “non-profit, grassroots membership organization … established to promote a positive image of Islam and Muslims in America,” to protect Muslims from hate crimes and discrimination, and to present “an Islamic perspective on issues of importance to the American public.” However an investigation of its activities and publications (in Arabic) shows that CAIR supports Wahhabi Salafi ideology and are instrumental in the propagation of that cult throughout America and have been the root cause of radicalization of terrorists. It is reported that CAIR have been instrumental in Wahhabi Salafi cult infiltrating or controlling over half the mosques in America with the help of huge donations from Saudi Arabian sources and so-called charities in the US such as the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development (HLF) headquartered in Richardson, Texas with branch offices in New Jersey, California, and Illinois. The Freedom House year long investigation concluded in its 89 page report, “Saudi Publications on Hate Ideology Invade American Mosques.” that hundreds of Saudi documents disseminated at Wahhabi Salafi mosques in the US are telling America’s Muslims (surreptitiously in Arabic) that it is a religious obligation for all ‘good Muslims’ to hate Christians and Jews.
With the threat of fanatical lone wolves being so radicalized that they want to axe, bomb and kill their fellow non-Muslim citizens, it is imperative that CAIR and Wahhabi Salafi mosques, bookshops and hate preachers are fully investigated and if appropriate prosecuted under Anti-Terrorism legislation. The UAE terror listing of CAIR accords with the evidence it seems:
“CAIR has a key role in the “Wahhabi lobby”—the network of organizations, usually supported by donations from Saudi Arabia, whose aim is to propagate the especially extreme version of Islam practiced in Saudi Arabia. For one, it sends money to other parts of the lobby. According to CAIR’s Form 990 filings for 2003, its California offices invested $325,000 with the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT). The NAIT was established in 1971 by the Muslim Student Association of the U.S. and Canada, which bills itself as the precursor to the Islamic Society of North America, now the largest member of the Wahhabi lobby. According to Newsweek, authorities say that over the years “NAIT money has helped the Saudi Arabian sect of Wahhabism—or Salafism, as the broader, pan-Islamic movement is called—to seize control of hundreds of mosques in U.S. Muslim communities.” J. Michael Waller, a terrorism expert, testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee that NAIT is believed to own 50 to 79 percent of the mosques in North America. According to Waller, NAIT was raided as part of Operation Green Quest in 2002, on suspicions of involvement in terrorist financing
Randall (“Ismail”) Royer, an American convert to Islam, served as CAIR’s communications specialist and civil rights coordinator; today he sits in jail on terrorism-related charges. In June 2003, Royer and ten other young men, ages 23 to 35, known as the “Virginia jihad group,” were indicted on forty-one counts of “conspiracy to train for and participate in a violent jihad overseas.” The defendants, nine of them U.S. citizens, were accused of association with Lashkar-e-Taiba, a radical Islamic group designated as a foreign terrorist organization by the U.S. Department of State in 2001. They were also accused of meeting covertly in private homes and at the Islamic Center in Falls Church to prepare themselves for battle by listening to lectures and watching videotapes. As the prosecutor noted, “Ten miles from Capitol Hill in the streets of northern Virginia, American citizens allegedly met, plotted, and recruited for violent jihad.” According to Matthew Epstein of the Investigative Project, Royer helped recruit the others to the jihad effort while he was working for CAIR. The group trained at firing ranges in Virginia and Pennsylvania; in addition, it practiced “small-unit military tactics” at a paintball war-games facility in Virginia, earning it the moniker, the “paintball jihadis.” Eventually members of the group traveled to Pakistan.
Five of the men indicted, including CAIR’s Royer, were found to have had in their possession, according to the indictment, “AK-47-style rifles, telescopic lenses, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and tracer rounds, documents on undertaking jihad and martyrdom, [and] a copy of the terrorist handbook containing instructions on how to manufacture and use explosives and chemicals as weapons.”
After four of the eleven defendants pleaded guilty, the remaining seven, including Royer, were accused in a new, 32-count indictment of yet more serious charges: conspiring to help Al-Qaeda and the Taliban battle American troops in Afghanistan.[25] Royer admitted in his grand jury testimony that he had already waged jihad in Bosnia under a commander acting on orders from Osama bin Laden. Prosecutors also presented evidence that his father, Ramon Royer, had rented a room in his St. Louis-area home in 2000 to Ziyad Khaleel, the student who purchased the satellite phone used by Al-Qaeda in planning the two U.S. embassy bombings in East Africa in August 1998.[26] Royer eventually pleaded guilty to lesser firearms-related charges, and the former CAIR staffer was sentenced to twenty years in prison.
Laws banning incitement to terrorist acts must be uniformly promulgated amongst civilized nations and strictly enforced until the Wahhabi Salafi madness stops and the blood stops dripping from the hatchets of the haters of our way of life.

On Monday 13 October 2014, in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu Canada, a new but zealous convert to Wahhabi Salafi Islam 12 months ago, Canadian Martin Couture-Rouleaumurdered Canadian soldier Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent by running him and another soldier down in a car pointing his finger to heaven seeking Allah as his justification for doing so. Like so many Salafi’s this convert changed his name to a more Arabic one;Ahmad LeConverti (Ahmad the Converted) before embarking on his jihad against the West.Like so many young Salafi’s he became enamored with ISIS and heeded its online call to glorify Allah by running down and murdering infidels by using motor cars.
Michael Zehaf-Bibeau was radicalized at a British Columbia Mosque, the Masjid Al Salaam & Education Centre. The umbrella organization for that Mosque, the British Columbia Muslim Association (BCMA) manage many schools and 15 Mosques in British Columbia.
They are (according to their own literature) funded in large part by theKingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Muslim World League. BCMA have a history of inviting radical hate preachers (like Siraj Wahhaj alleged co-conspirator with the Blind Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman in the first World Trade Centre Bombings in 1993 who also spoke at the BC mosque calling the West a ‘filthy garbage can’) to speak to their community (said to number 80,000) in British Columbia.
The Koran’s they distribute are the Wahhabi annotated Korans that emphasize armed and violent Jihad as an obligation of all ‘good Muslims’.

Many troubled Muslim youths approached by Salafist groups likeForsane Alizza (FA- The Knights of Pride) and encouraged to progress his study their cult which was their brand of militant Salafi ‘Islam’ from their radical mosques or private ‘prayer groups’ and if suitable for mission training Al Qaeda operatives then arranged for the acolyte go to Pakistan for deeper indoctrination into the cult and specialist weapons and bomb training when he got out.
Forsane Alizza aka ‘Sharia4France’ is ostensibly an anti-Islamophobia group but authorities say it is a terrorist organization that used the mantra of anti-Islamophobia to mask its deeper purpose of radicalizing disenchanted youth from Islamic backgrounds. They followed the rhetoric of fellow terrorists like Yemeni-American cleric Anwar al-Awlaki to recruit disillusioned youth from Islamic communities in the West away from the traditional Islamic faith of their parents who immigrated to the West and instead adopt their cult. Their cult made everything from their plight to the perceived injustice of Muslims around the world easily understood in a populist way and in the vernacular.
The converts were shown a way out of their sin and into heaven by taking the express lane of radical militancy to attack all enemies of the Wahhabi-Salafi Jihadi’s (the only true Muslims) whether they be Crusader-Zionists in AF-PAK, Shia Muslims, Sufi Muslims or Moderate Sunni Muslims (all apostates in the cults eyes to be excommunicated (Takfiri) and worthy of death) or non-Sharia democracies in the West. The ultimate goal of the cult is establishing a kind of ‘Third Reich’ Salafist caliphate stretching from Chechnya to the Philippines that will restore pride and power to “Muslims” (the ones that are left after the bad Muslims have been enlightened as to the true ‘path’ or eliminated); hence their name Forsane Alizza -The Knights of Pride.
Forsane Alizza has links to other radical Islamist groups in Europe, such as al-Muhajiroun / ‘Islam4UK’ in Britain and ‘Shariah4Belgium’, ‘Muslims Against Crusades’ as well as ‘Revolution Muslim’ in the United States. Al-Muhajiroun means “the Emigrants”. The name comes from their ‘target market’, the children of traditional Islamic parents who immigrated to the West. These Islamo-Fascist cult’s modus operandi is not unlike the Hitler Youth movement of the Nazi’s, brainwashing the youth with magazines, and sending them to specialized indoctrination schools and camps with their ‘brothers’ and SS style (Mujahedeen) elite training, how to be ‘good Muslims’ just like the Nazi’s did in the 1930’s by teaching the ‘jugend’ how to be ‘good Germans’.
The devotees would then have no qualms about the war ahead and what had to be done to the ‘untermench’ (Jews, Crusaders and Takfiri or moderate/traditional Muslims).
The allies upon liberating Eastern Europe could not believe how civilized people could commit the atrocities that the Einsatzgruppen did especially against women and children. These Hitler Youth graduates were formed into heartless death squads responsible for the murders of over 1,000,000 people, mainly Jews including women and children in occupied Eastern Europe between 1939 and 1944.
It is no surprise then that when today’s Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri Jihadi’s strike whether its Bali, Beslan or Toulouse, they do so without mercy and show no remorse afterward if they survive. Indeed they often laugh and smile chanting “Allahu Akbar” like the Bali mass murderer Amrozi bin Nurhasyim did when sentenced by an Indonesian Court rejecting his defence that his actions in 2002 planting bombs that indiscriminately killed 202 tourists because he was seeking to ‘strike at America and its allies, especially Israel’ were justified under Islam.
If we in the West allow them and other Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri’s free reign to radicalize our youth and the Wahhabi warpath will be strewn with the lives of more innocents in our homelands and ordinary Muslims will start to face persecution from an ill-informed public. This will play into the hands of Al Qaeda and ISIS and their narrative of a clash of civilizations and so become a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Security agencies and Police must be able to fully investigate radical hate preachers the mosques, bookshops and internet sites known to incite, support and facilitate hatred, extremism and terrorism. How else can lone wolves be interdicted before they execute their schemes? For example:
Islamic Center of Queens on 37th Avenue Woodside (aka Masjid al-Fatima) which was founded by Brother Aqeel Khan and taken over by radicals from the Wahhabi Salafi group Hizb ut Tahrir and associated group al-Muhajiroun/Sharia4UK (via Omar Bakri Mohammed) Notably:

Al Muhajiroun was an offshoot from UK branch of the Islamist international group Hizb ut-Tahrir whose goal is the creation of a worldwide Caliphate based on Wahhabi Salafi ideology.
Al Muhajiroun and its leadership (through such operatives as brothers Sajil and Adil Shadid and associates such as Junaid Babar) used Lahore Pakistan as a base to train British Muslims to perform armed jihad in Af-Pak, Chechnya, Bosnia and UK. Richard Reid the Al Qaeda shoe bomber was a regular attendee of the Essex Islamic Community Centre before his failed attempt in 2001 to blow up American Airlines Flight 63 over Miami. Several jihadi brothers meeting at Ilford for ‘prayer’ were also foreign fighters with the Taliban in AF-Pak and now Syria/Iraq.

That is one of the reasons why Anjam Choudry, loves and promotes ISIS so much as they are imposing Sharia law strictly wherever their black flags capture a town in Syria or Iraq.

Salafi Lone Wolves and Wahhabi-Salafi hate preachers who radicalize them are hatchet wielding ISIS jihadists on our streets seeking to do the ‘will of Allah’ as they are brainwashed to believe with radical zeal, especially if freshly ‘converted’.
How does one stop the Wahhabi warpath?
Deal with KSA funding of Wahhabi Mosques and Islamist ‘Centres’ in our homelands and shut the mouths of the Salafist hate preachers and you minimize the Jihadist threat at our Parliaments and on our streets.
Had al Muhajiroun/Sharia4UK been dealt with in London, Forsane Alizza/ Sharia4France, Sharia4Belgium been dealt with sooner by appropriate laws and LEO in France and Belgium, and had Masjid Al Salaam & Education Centre and BCMA been dealt with in Canada and the poison dripping from the hate preachers lips who use Masjid al-Fatima dealt with in New York, London’s ‘7/7’, the Woolwich slaying, the Toulouse and Brussels massacres would not have happened and Patrice Vincent would be alive today and also Nathan Cirillo ( whose funeral is pictured above) would be alive today and the New York policemen would not be in hospital from axe wounds of the Wahhabis on the warpath.
The UN Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED) at a regional workshop on incitement and violent extremism held in Nairobi November/December 2011 reaffirmed the UN’s policy that States need to prohibit and prevent incitement to terrorist acts motivated by extremism and intolerance.
It is clear that the United Nations General Assembly circumscribes the right of people (including religious preachers and political leaders of whatever ethnicity) to have freedom of opinion and expression and dissemination of ideas (Article 19 The Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948) by the necessary caveat that laws can and should be made to curb that freedom for the protection of national security and the rights of others (Article 19 International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights 1966).
Moreover in 2005 the Security Council of the UN made Resolution 1624 concerning threats to international peace and security caused by acts of terrorism condemning in the strongest terms the incitement of terrorist acts.
The UN repudiates any attempts at the justification or glorification (apologie) of terrorist acts that may incite further terrorist acts. The international community recognizes that incitements of terrorist acts are motivated by extremism and intolerance and that this poses a serious and growing danger to global communities.
Many terrorists masquerade as religious organizations and so the UN has made it clear that States must prevent the subversion of educational, cultural and religious institutions by terrorists and their supporters.
The Salafi-Takfiris seek like the Nazi party or the Bolsheviks, to be the vanguard of their own form of global revolution of what they see as their constituency (not Arians or the proletariat as Nazis and communists do) but of the world wide Ummah of Muslim people who they are actively seeking to convert to their cause and their dogma. They do this primarily through the financial and ideological infiltration and takeover of traditional Muslim mosques, educational institutions and ‘charities’.
If there is trouble with Turkey in relation to Cyprus or with respect to the treatment of Muslim minorities in Greece, it would serve Greece and Western nations under the same threats well to make lawful categorizations and distinctions in their laws and policies based on a thorough understanding of the real source of terrorism. That way it can withstand the international pressure and scrutiny that may come to try and exploit any domestic problems that may arise from the country trying to protect its legitimate national interest.
In a recent article in ‘Defecnegreece.com’, Ionnis Michaletos titled, ‘Radical Islam passing through Greece’ (Nov 25 , 2011), the point is made that Greece in its delicate financial state is at serious risk from domestic terrorism and a transit point for the flow of terrorist resources across its borders and further into Europe.
However, it is dangerous, against the UN resolutions and counter-productive to label people too broadly by reference to religious, ethnic or national profiling as ‘terrorists’. For example the use of ‘Islamists’ by Ioannis and many others is unfortunate. The perpetrators of terrorist acts in the name of ‘Islam’ are not really ‘Muslims’ at all but simple political terrorists who try and legitimize their criminality and hatred by adopting the mantle of religion. By analogy it would be unjust to call anarchists who commit terrorist acts as ‘Orthodox Extremists/Orthodoxists’ even if the anarchists sought to justify their criminality by reference to the Orthodox religion.
The better approach would be to call them by the name of their philosophy; ‘Salafi-Takfiris’. They are the Islamo-fascist ideological umbrella, source of funds and foot soldiers for Al Qaeda and associated movements (AQAM); Indonesian ‘JI’ , Pakistani ‘JeM’; ‘LeJ’; Moroccan ‘Direct Path’; Algerian ‘GSPC’ Philippines ‘Abu Sayyaf’, etc and lone wolves/home-growns, and ISIS.
99.99% of the terrorist problem in USA, Greece and the West (whether cells or lone wolves) does NOT come from traditional/orthodox Islam but from the well-funded and extreme Wahhabi/Salafi-Takfiris (AKA Salafi-Jihadis).
Anyone in the West who is serious about wanting to know the truth behind unrest at home or in the Middle East should simply type ‘Salafi’ + ‘Terror” into the Google box before the issue they want to research. This will open up avenues of investigation that can ‘cut through’ the ‘media speak’ (CNN types not FOX) that sometimes play to the tune of the rich and powerful who have an unfortunate financial vested interest in the nation states that support them that often leads to misinformation in the global media.
I encourage you to read articles and books on Wahhabi/Salafi-Takfiris and then you will see the scale and nature of the threat not just to our Western homelands but also to millions of traditional Muslims who they hate as much as us. For example a Muslim referred me to an excellent small book ‘Terror’s Source’ by Vincenzo Oliveti. Even though it’s a 2002 book, it is well worth reading.
In fact because its central thesis is that Takfiris are spawned from Salafis and Salafis are the growing in number and themselves spawned from state sponsored/petro dollar driven Wahhabi infrastructure. Their game plan is the ‘take over’ of mosques in the West, nation states in the Middle East then the mobilization of them against the West. THe Salafi’s in Arabia are Wahhabi and the ones in India Deobandi and in Afghanistan, Taliban.
It is the current generation of ordinary orthodox Muslims more than the West that are currently the victims of this right wing ‘putsch’ into the West via traditional/orthodox Islam.
Rather than ethnic/cultural profiling and casting the net wide in a discriminatory manner against all Muslims or people from the Middle East, all law enforcement (LE) has to do to maximize its effectiveness both at counter radicalization and interdiction of lone wolves and extremist cells is to concentrate their efforts against all and any forms of Wahhabi/Salafi-Takfiris and the nation states that sponsor them.
That includes funding (whether through so called ‘charities or schools) and propaganda (whether that be disguised as religion or not).
If all else fails ‘follow the (source of the) money’ and make laws that stop that flow and you will reduce the risk of contagion and brainwashing of home-grown individual terrorists and cells.
If you do not tomorrow’s generation of Muslims may well be press ganged; financed or duped into Wahhabi/Salafi-Takfirism.
It would serve the American and Greek people well if the war on terrorism properly defined who the ‘terrorists’ are (especially as Al Qaeda was but a form of Salafi-Takfirism).
The term ‘terrorist’ should therefore not be classified as ‘Islamists’ but rather ‘Salafi-Takfiris’ and that adherents to that philosophy be named in the anti-terrorist legislation as ‘terrorists’ or ‘supporters of terrorist organization’.
Once the law is focused on the real threat (in our Greek homeland, America and the West generally) the imposition of criminal sanctions can be effective and non-discriminatory. Also with broad community dialogue with Islamic communities in US, Greece and other civilized nations with this understanding (whether they be domestic or refugees) can assist to ‘inoculate’ the broad Islamic community (on our own soil and in Europe more broadly) from contagion of this extremist ideology. In this way the authorities in the civilized world can protect the national interest in conformity with international law.

ISIS and Counter Terrorism legislation in Jordan

Jordanian’s Anti-Terrorism Laws came into effect in 2006 after the 2005 Aman hotel bombings by Sajida al-Rishawi, her husband and the Wahhabi Salafi terrorists from Iraq then called Al Qaeda in Iraq.
The laws were amended in 2014 to address radicalization by Wahhabi Salafi fanatics bolstering ISIS and threatening security in Jordan either in financing, activity on the ground or in cyberspace.
The government has come to realize the dangers of the fanatical Salafi’s even though they once used Salafism (then milder than the Wahhabi strain) to counter leftists and nationalists who sought to undermine the monarchy.
Extremist ideas from Jam’iyyah al-Ikhwan al Muslimin (The Society of Muslim Brothers) and its ideologues like the Wahhabi Salafi Muhibb Al-Din Al-Khatib (close associate of Hasan al-Banna) have to be countered throughout the Arab world if ISIS and AL Qaeda are to be defeated.
Saudi Wahhabi influence has taken the pious religiosity of the Salafi’s and turned them into zealous militant monsters of the ISIS ilk. The burning alive of Jordanian First Lieutenant Muadh al-Kasasbeh whose plane was downed in December last year will strengthen the hand of the government against Jihadists and other Salafi extremists in Jordan.
President Obama still dodges the naming of the terrorists as Wahhabi Salafi and so exposes Americans to the danger of a growing Fifth Column of Wahhabi Salafi fanaticsin the US. Instead, “Whatever ideology they’re operating off of, it’s bankrupt,” Obama told reporters.
“Before his death, Kasasbeh was forced to reveal the names and workplaces of many fellow pilots in the Royal Jordanian Air Force. Their photographs appeared at the end of a 23-minute video depicting his death, along with an offer of a bounty of 100 gold dinars (roughly $20,000) for each pilot killed.”
Though typically dismissed by media and governments as being unrepresentative of Islam, it nevertheless is the conservative creed of the ruling family in Saudi Arabia and so has become the world wide de facto standard for new mosques paid for by Saudi petro dollars.
Its virulent radical, puritanical, anti-Western, militant, misogynistic, blood thirsty ideology has been inspiring militant Islamic extremism across the globe including lone wolves, Al Qaeda, ISIS, Boko Haram.

Are all Foreign Fighters a terrorist threat upon returning home?

The mere presence of a Western Muslim fighter in prohibited zones like Syria/Iraq does not mean they are necessarily going to commit a terrorist act upon their return to the West. However, some will and this poses a threat to their home country’s security.
Many young Muslims want to help their brethren fight repression and persecution (for example assist Sunni Muslims against Assad in Syria). Still others want to be part of a heroic adventure where they can discard their old identity and take on a new one, that of ‘mujahid’/hero who with a band of brothers can participate in the struggle for the exultation of their group’s value systems (ISIS in Iraq).
In a major paper on the subject (‘Fearing the Western Muslim Foreign Fighter’), aDutch academic , de Roy van Zuijdew, has researched the typology of foreign fighters/ transnational insurgents in Muslim conflict zones such as Afghanistan and Bosnia and postulated that there has been a relatively low correlation between foreign jihadi involvement and subsequent terrorist acts in the West (the study is limited to Europe’s 28 EU member states plus Iceland, Norway and Switzerland).
The stats (at least up until May 2013) seem to bear out the Thomas Hegghammer thesis that not all foreign fighters are terrorists in the making. Hegghammer’s research concluded that one in 9 (107 of 945) EU foreign fighters have been involved in terrorist plots since returning home. The author also points out that Hegghammer’s ‘radicalization rate’ may be too high given that it is estimated that over 4,000 British citizens have received training in overseas terrorist camps and that the ratio is more like 1 out of 17.
However, as the author, Jeanine de Roy van Zuijdewijn says: the study also pointed at some important exceptions and unfortunately, it only takes one foreign fighter expertly trained in combat and indoctrinated into extremism to launch a deadly terrorist attack on his home soil.
Van Zuijdewijn’s study was completed in January 2014 and really only covers attacks and plots up to May 2013. As events in Syria and Iraq have moved apace since the research was done, the paper needs to be urgently revised and updated to comprehend the ISIS phenomenon.
For example it does not analyse the deadly terrorist attacks in May 2014 at the Jewish Museum in Brussels Belgium by a jihadi fighter returning from Syria, Mehdi Nemmouche, a 29-year-old French national of Algerian origin. Also further empirical research needs to be done on Salafi Muslims who travel abroad to non-conflict zones to receive terrorist training and indoctrination.
The London 7/7 bombers were not foreign fighters waging jihad offshore but Salafi zealots who went to Pakistan to receive their indoctrination and bomb making training before executing their ‘jihad’ against the UK by the London tube and bus bombings were carried out in 2005. The radicalization rates associated with Salafi indoctrination in Pakistan and other offshore jihad camps are 1 in 4 according to both Hegghammer and Van Zuijdewijn.
Nevertheless ‘Fearing the Western Muslim Foreign Fighter’ contains much useful data and analysis of and is worthy of your time to read as the aim of the thesis is to ‘historicise and contextualize the Western Muslim foreign fighter who is currently regarded as a possible threat’ to the West. Van Zuijdewijn’s concluding observations are worthy of further research that ‘the main danger of the current developments in Syria is not the actual danger posed by individuals but the resurgence of the global Salafi jihadi narrative’.

OBL’s brother in law, Sulaiman Abu Ghayth, an Imam an ostensibly ‘religious’ man who sees himself as a ‘good Muslim’ but advocating terror. He was sentenced to life this week by a US court for terrorism.preacher Anjem Choudary was arrested this week in the UK on terrorism charges. Choudary presents himself as a religious man/sheik and a ‘good Muslim’.
Choudary and his constantly changing group al Muhajiroun/Islam4UK/Muslims Against Crusades foments discord based on Salafi Takfiri religious dogma.
Choudary said even if they arrest him (which the UK authorities did today September 2014), “I will carry on in prison. I’ll radicalise everyone in prison.’
It is often said that Terrorism has nothing to do with religion. That is patently not true at least to the extent that a cult can be termed a religion. Certainly without fail, all terrorists acknowledge a religious motivation for their acts whether it’s blowing up their underwear or shoes in planes over the US or hacking to death infidels on the streets of our homelands. To deny any link between the world wide epidemics of Islamist violence since 2001 is akin to denying that the Nazi ideology played a key part in the horrors of WWII and the Holocaust. The media in the West try and explain the madness by saying young people from the Muslim community are merely seeking a thrill and a sense of identity when committing atrocities or terrorist acts. Chechen terrorist and Boston Bomber, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev even featured as a rebel on the cover of Rolling Stone. Perhaps Goebbels was misunderstood and needs a Rolling Stone makeover?
What the authorities mean to say (laudably) is that Terrorism does not equate with Islam for fear of tarring the whole Islamic community with the same brush. Not all Muslims are terrorists but some of them clearly are. What’s more worryingly is that many millions (not just hundreds) are potentially terrorists with very little radicalizing and indeed some have become terrorists very soon after ‘conversion’ to ‘Islam’

Look to any Islamist street demonstration or riots against the West over the past 14 years (see picture as example of protests over the Danish cartoon incident) and you see similar hatred of the West based on the fingers pointed to Allah and the slight against their religion as a justification for their outrage.

A convert after saying that there is only one God, Allah and that Mohammed is his prophet must then try and be a good Muslim. However how Muslim ought to live his life (especially in the West) is where the problem of identity, self-esteem and civic responsibility to adhere to the laws of the land arise. That’s where the extremist Salafi cult comes in and creates a tear in the social fabric and poisons the mind of some Muslims and where counter terrorism and anti-radicalization measures must interdict future terrorism mindsets.
What did it mean to be a good German in the 1930’s? The Nazi’s through hate preachers like Goebbels gave the answer which was a slavish adherence to Nazi dogma just as the Salafi’s today give the answer as to what it is to be a good Muslim and that is a strict adherence to the Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri doctrine.
The extremists Muslims (those that want to follow a literal and strict adherence to the warrior ways of the first Muslim caliphs) give the young Muslim men the ideological blueprint on how to be a good Muslim. These extreme fundamentalists are called Salafis/Whabbi’s (or in Indian sub-continent Deobandi/Taliban). Whilst there is a quietest branch of these religious Islamic fundamentalists, at the extreme end of the spectrum are the ‘Takfiri’ (those who see any deviation from their ideology as apostasy and all who practice falsity deserve death. Therefore the Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri Jihadi glories in terrorism (especially if by Allah’s providence they can be also martyred at the same time) and the barbaric acts we have all witnessed in the deserts of Syria and Iraq and on the streets of New York, Boston, Toulouse and Woolwich, Train stations in London and Madrid, bars in Bali, the primary schools of Beslan or the concert halls of Moscow.
ISIS like the Woolwich slayer, Michael Adebolajo is just following the Salafi Takfiri script as written by its ideologues like The Blind Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman, Anwar al-Awlaki, Omar Bakri Mohammed, Abu Hamza (al-Masri) , Anjem Choudary, Trewvor Brooks (Abu Izzadeen), Mizanur Rahman, Mohammed Achamlane, Mohammad Ali Baryalei, and Abu Musab Al Suri, al-Bagdadi etc .
It is good and admirable that leaders make a distinction between mainstream Islam and the Islamists but it is wrong to say terrorism of the Jihadist kind has “nothing to do with religion” or religious ideology. The population will switch off this narrative as it’s obvious that Jihadist terrorism is inspired by something in Islam. What the people do not understand however is that it’s an extreme sect within Islam. When the next horrific Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri terrorist attack happens, like the planned random beheading of person on the Streets of Australia, there will be a backlash against the Muslim community as a whole, especially those that are ostensibly fundamentalist (such as men with beards and long white robes and women in black burqas).Also there will be little hope in tacking the extremist pro-terrorism ideology of the Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri’s if security agencies monitor potential terrorists too broadly which will only tend to alienate the Muslim community who will feel under siege.
World leaders have finally come to the conclusion that civilization must not only attack ISIS on the ground but also its ideology. President Obama, Australian PM Abbott and UK PM Cameron have come to call ISIS a ‘death cult’. This too whilst an accurate descriptor is not helpful in the degradation of their ideology and ability to radicalize homegrown terrorists or fighters for their land wars in the Middle East. Now how does one attack a ghost death cult that has nothing to do with Islam? It is not possible. There is no ‘Death Cult’ website, bookshop or headquarters. The leader of ISIS al-Bagdadi, has a PHD in Islamic studies and would but for his barbaric methods in Syria and Iraq be considered as an ‘Islamic Scholar’. So it’s not about Islamists having a shallow understanding of Islam. It’s about a sect within Islam itself.
Al Qaeda too, once a formal and structured terrorist group has become after years of degradation, more of an ideal and an enabler than a formal group. Again you won’t find an Al Qaeda bookshop or HQ. However you find the same ideology behind their motivation and justification for terrorism against the West.
The ideology of all the terrorist organizations or lone wolves that have or want to commit terrorist acts against the West whatever they call themselves is a cult of Islam that can be correctly and accurately described and called the Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri Jihadi. That is the one ideology that is behind all the fronts and brand names like: Al Qaeda, Boko Haram, al-Shabaab and ISIS ‘al Muhajiroun’, ‘Islam4UK’, ‘Sharia4Belguim’,Forsane Alizza, ’Force de Défense Musulmane sur Internet’, ‘Sharia4France’, Al-Haramain , Benevolence International Foundation, Wafa al Igatha al Islamia , Hizb ut-Tahrir, al-Gheraba, Muslims Against Crusades, et al.
Underscoring this point is the life sentence for terrorism this week handed down by a New York court of Osama bin Laden’s son in law, Sulaiman Abu Ghayth (pictured far left next to OBL).
Abu Ghayth was jailed for life this week (September 2014) for conspiring on a planned second wave of 9/11 attacks. What was his previous occupation and driving motivation when planning more 9/11 attacks on the West? He was a religious instruction teacher at school and an imam at a Kuwaiti Mosque. He was a ’religious’ man but of a fanatical Salafi sect of Islam,the Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri sect. In court Abu Ghayth denied he was an al-Qaida recruiter and claimed his ‘role was a religious one aimed at encouraging all Muslims to rise up against their oppressors’.
Speaking in Arabic through a translator, Abu Ghayth also told the New York court, “today when you are shackling my hands, and intend to bury me alive, you are unleashing the hands of thousands of Muslims and they will join the rally of free men.” In his March 2014 trial prosecutors showed jurors a 50-second clip of a five-minute videotape of Abu Ghaith from October 9, 2001, in which he threatens that“America must know that the storm of airplanes will not abate, with God’s permission.” Alluding to martyrdom, he said there were “youths who are yearning to death just as Americans yearn to live….“We strongly advise Muslims in America and the Britain, the children and those who reject unjust American policies, not to board aircraft and we advise them not to live in high-rises and tall buildings.”
When you see pictures of ISIS fighters what are they gesturing with their hands? They are pointing with a finger toward heaven/Allah, in whose name they slaughter the innocents. In fact they are brainwashing their children from a very young age to equate submission to God with terrorism as the picture of ISIS children shows.
What is on their black flag but religious symbolism that all Muslims would easily recognize?
What is the essential message of ISIS and all such Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri groups and individual fanatics? That Islam is ISIS, God inspired, God sanctioned and God predestined to rule over all with their version of Sharia law.
What did Mohamed Merah say just before he gunned down little Jewish children in Toulouse France: “This will bring France to its knees before Allah.”
What do they do before they blow themselves up, execute someone or fire a weapon but a religious salutation Allahu Akbar(Arabic: الله أكبر meaning “God is greater” and in context of the salutation before committing violence…’ (their ideology, their God, their faith’ is greater than the infidel non- believer/apostates or their errant religion or man- made democracies).
The Islamists whether they are ISIS fighters or lone wolf be-headers on the Streets of our homelands are brainwashed by the Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri Jihadi cult to believe their barbarous acts are sanctioned by the Quran and the example of their Prophet, Mohammed in the way in which he went about securing temporal power in the Middle East and North Africa in the seventh century creating the First Islamic Caliphate. To deal with the terrorist threat humanity has to deal with their ideology. The people best placed to do that are the vast majority of Muslims. To engage with that community, we should not speak for them when terrorism happens. We should give the Muslim majority a voice.
George Bush or President Obama saying Islam is a religion of peace is not the best way to go about the PR war on ISIS Al Qaeda or other Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri terrorists. They must call the terrorists by name of their ideology. Islamism is not accurate appropriate or helpful. It is the Wests lazy shorthand. When Western leaders refer to them they should use their correct descriptor Wahhabi Salafi Takfir Jihadi orWSTJ…that will cover the fighters and supports of ISIS, Al Qaeda ,Boko Haram, etc. and also the hate preachers, supporters and potential fifth column terrorists in our homelands. Our leaders and media should also let the voice of moderate (and majority) Islam be heard immediately after the terrorist attacks occur as we need to empower the Muslim community to inoculate their people from the WSTJ Ebola type contagion and be seen to condemn these attacks and also be seen by the non-Muslim fellow citizens as not condoning terrorism against their fellow citizens by apparent silence.
Until the Western leaders and media appreciate that one cannot understand (let alone defeat) ISIS or Al Qaeda without defeating their ideology, there is little hope. Their implacable hatred of the West is based on their genuinely and fanatically held religious views. There will be no end to terrorism of the Jihadist/Islamist kind, in fact it will only get worse,(especially in our homelands) even if ISIS is bombed back to the stone age unless the West recognizes the terrorist problem as associated with the extreme Salafi sect of Islam and their ambition to hijack that religion for the imposition of Sharia and world domination by WSTJ Muslims as the vanguard of an Islamic ‘Third Reich’ type Caliphate.
Wahhbai Salafi preachers like The Blind Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman have been at the forefront of radicalization and terrorist plots in the Middle East and the West for decades.
Choudary, Izzaden and other Wahhabi Salafi Takfiri’s praised the September 11 terror atrocity and the July 7 London bombings which killed 52 innocent people in 2005. Choudary has preached that jihad, or holy war, is an ‘obligation upon Muslims’ – an interpretation rejected by moderate Muslim scholars – and has called for a draconian form of Sharia law to be imposed across Britain.

The arrests this week of Choudary and his ilk are long overdue and should be repeated around the world against all radicalizers and advocates and supporters of terrorist ideology irrespective of their protests that they are ‘religious men’. What is needed now is a microphone and camera in front of Muslim leaders welcoming the arrests of these evil men who threaten their communities as well as the countries within which they live. The Islamic leaders will speak the truth and say these men are from a minority sect Islam which they and most Muslims find abhorrent and against their principles and beliefs as ‘good Muslims’. Unless this happens neither we nor the Muslim youth can recognize what being a good Muslim is or is not and our security in the West will remain precarious. Counter radicalization in civil society is therefore more important than Counter Terrorism laws in defeating ISIS and Al Qaeda. Choudray’s 2IC, Abu Izzadeen told then UK home secretary John Reid he was an ‘enemy of Islam’ after the minister asked Muslims to step in if they thought children were being radicalised.
This is where the real war on terrorism needs to focus. Had the UK and other Western nations acted earlier to clean out the vipers den of al Muhajiroun’, ‘Islam4UK’ etc, ISIS may never have had the support of foreign fighters recruited from the West. Ideology is important. Politicians and the media must act responsibly and honestly in reporting the religious sect ideology behind terrorism so that it can be interdicted and the fabric of our multi-cultural societies not be rent by a backlash of the community who no longer listen to their leaders rhetoric.
