The 6 Different Characters You Will See on the Stock Message Boards

If you can look keenly at any stock board no matter how moderators and administrators are working, you will always find some characters; both good and bad. For example, just by looking at the FNMA Stock board, you will various characters in the discussion that are making the interaction lively and attractive.

If you also analyze other stock boards, you are likely to see guys who are trying to win a name for their companies. If you listen to them you might end up losing your investment. Here are the 6 main players in any stock board:

  • The Hypers

We can refer these users as company marketers meant to boost the prices of the stock. They will always speak good of the company and the achievements of the company. They are very helpful in creating support for a stock. However, as an investor, do your own research; don’t rely on these players because their credibility is way too low.

  • The Bashers

There will always be a basher in every stock message board. These are your guys when you want to buy the stock at lower prices. Their main work is to shut down the mouth of hypers and try to provide more realistic data as to why the stock prices may not hype as it is being advertised.

However, these guys can scare away investors to sell their stocks and eventually drop the price of the stock. The stock price rarely rises when we have bashers on the board because of the negative stock sentiments they create.

  • The Technical Analysts

Their work is to shed some insights on the message board regularly. Despite how analytical they may be, sometimes their analysis doesn’t add up at all to the current stock. The solution remains to come up with your own analysis and be using it.

  • The High Rollers

These are the guys that will flock the board and bring crowds to the stock. That means the stock volume will eventually increase because of the capital they bring in. However, there will be some casualties at the end of the rolling after realizing they fooled you. Ensure you know their credibility because some of them are not who they say they are. If you must follow them be precise in your entries and exits.

  • The Newbies

Everyone was new in one time or another. You can easily spot them even in Fannie Mae stock message board. They can be motivated by the hypers to buy any stock hence boosting the price of the stock. However, these guys make the thread to be too big with their meaningless posts. Others pretend to be stock teachers yet they know very little. If you see any user that is too emotional, they are the new guys.

  • The Unbiased Analyzers

They are the guys that can cool down your emotions because of their well-analyzed reports on a certain stock; both the positive and negative side. These guys are rare and can lead to stock prices going down as they tell the negative aspect of the company. Ensure they are really what they say they are before trusting them.

In most of the stock message boards, you will see all these players spicing the discussing and making it interesting. Know how to treat each one of them so that you can make a solid decision on your investment.
