Ukrainian Special Forces  evicted the headquarters of the regional government in the city of Kharkiv , occupied Sunday by pro-Russian protesters,  according to Ukrainian Minister of interior, Arsen Avakov reported .

” 70 separatist have been arrested ” Avakov wrote in his Facebook page. The interior minister said the police operation was carried out ” without the use of firearms .”

Pro Russian Protesters seized government buildings in the eastern city of Kharkiv , Donetsk and Luhansk overnight on Sunday while demanding a referendum to join Russia , as recently seen in Crimea and Sevastopol . In fact, the pro-Russian protesters Monday unilaterally proclaimed independence of Donetsk .

Meanwhile, the Russian Foreign Ministry has demanded an immediate end to Kiev to counter any military preparations in southeastern Ukraine and the concentration of troops in the area , which in his view could lead to a civil war.

These forces are movements aimed at suppressing anti-government protests in Kiev in the area, mostly inhabited by citizens of Russian origin. ” We call for the immediate cessation of military preparations that could lead to an outbreak of civil war,” the ministry said in a statement.

This is the Russian answer to the complaint of Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseny Yatseniuk , and the president in office , Oleksander Turchinov , who claim that the protests are part of a script written by the Klemlin so that Moscow mimics the ‘ Crimea scenario ‘ .

” An anti Ukrainian plan is being implemented ( … ) according to which , foreign troops will cross the border and take the country ,” said Prime Minister Arseny Yatseniuk in public statement on his cabinet . ” We will not allow it,” he added.
