Is Google Private Or Public?

Google Corp. once again, has been accused of gathering information from its users and have failed to explain for what purpose the information is used. I am aware that Google Mail, records all text messages in the chat box, and saves them on a folder. Google Cloud Services gather data from your computer to a online Google server that collects all data and stores it, wherever you go. However access to your data, can be obtained easier with cloud, than having your own personal hard disk if someone worried to collect individual personal information. But the question really is, what do you think Google is doing with all that information, and explain briefly why.

1) Help the NSA gather more information to protect the “critical infrastructure”

2) Sell information to the government unrelated with “home spying”

2) Sell the information to gigantic institutions, banks, corps, firms…..

3) For Google’s own personal commercial strategies

4) Just gather data for no reason (lol)
5) All

“It is “obvious” to me that Google is in the business of selling privacy to the highest bidder just as Facebook is doing with users information. The answer to your particular question is ALL – Just like anyone who is interested in “buying lists” for the purpose of selling products to people on that list is what Google is doing; selling our information to the highest bidder.
I also believe that this is an illegal practice verified by the Federal Government and just another way our own government is using “home spying” against it’s own citizens. I truly believe that with new inventions from other companies such as Google/Facebook/Apple/Android that public spying will come to new heights in the future ending with a battle between citizens and government called the next great American Civil War.”

“What’s Google really up to ? I like number 4 – gather data for no reason, LOL – because I’m against all theories that posit plots being hatched all over the place…”

“It wouldn’t be journalism, if I accused Google without at least some sort of evidence. However, in Google’s chat box, I find it odd they incorporate “the off-the-record” tab. Google Cloud is a lucrative idea. Beneficial to online users who prefer not to carry around their spacious hard drive everywhere they travel. But storing information on it, is the equivalent of giving up all your important documents and files to an online corporate server. I tried to contact Google directly, but no answers.
I highly doubt Google is not cooperating with the U.S. Intelligence Community  and other international security agencies. If anything, western enemies like China would be the likely candidates that wouldn’t work alongside Google, because the U.S. would probably demand Google about inspecting their request.
And as one of my media professors said once, if it quacks like a duck and it walks like a duck, what are the odds its  really not a duck?”
